After making an appearance on the PTV program Guest House, Afzal Khan rose to fame as Jan Rambo. Before the film industry collapsed, he went on to play a number of roles in numerous motion pictures. Since then, he has acted in numerous television roles and contributed to a number of motion pictures following the industry comeback. In addition, Afzal Khan performs live and is often associated with comedic roles.
Asking Rambo if playing Jan Rambo affected his career came up during his guest appearance on Mazaq Raat. He said that he was very fond of the character and that playing multiple characters is a perk of working in movies. It did, however, impact his drama roles that he played Rambo. He is not cast in serious roles that he wants to play; instead, producers only consider him for comedic roles.

Rambo also related how, when he wanted to marry Sahiba, Sardar Kamal once took him to Sahiba’s house dressed as a groom. Rambo felt a little uneasy, so Nisho Jee made light fun of him. This occurred prior to his marriage to Sahiba, a union that Nisho opposed.
