Mathira began working when she was sixteen years old. She was working at a variety of jobs to make ends meet because she had a difficult life. She began hosting live television and experienced a great deal of harassment despite her lack of language skills. She has been working since she hosted a late-night broadcast in the past.
Mathira is a single mother of three sons who she has raised all by herself. She went through a divorce, moved on, and has always made an effort to instill optimism in her children. She discussed the struggles and traumas society had inflicted upon her while navigating life as a single mother when she was a guest on Madeha Naqvi’s show.
She mentioned that being a single mother comes with fatherly responsibilities as well. When a woman goes through life that way, she becomes more manly and gets called names. She has experienced it. She also revealed that she experienced depression following the birth of her third child, but no one ever gave it much thought.
