Javed Sheikh Talks Openly About Emraan Hashmi’s Rude Behaviour
Veteran Pakistani actor, producer, and director Javed Sheikh is renowned for his outstanding contributions to the entertainment sector. He has contributed to many well-known Pakistani dramas and motion pictures. Among his most memorable TV roles are those in Samjhota, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, and Ankahi. He has acted in popular Pakistani films such as Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, Wrong Number, and Na Maloom Afraad. In addition, he contributed to Bollywood productions such as Jannat, Namastey London, and Om Shanti Om.

In a recent Ramadan broadcast on Aaj TV, he talked candidly about his collaboration with Emraan Hashmi.

Reflecting on the incident, he shared, “I was on the set of my film with Emraan Hashmi in Cape Town. While I was seated, the director introduced me to Imran Hashmi. I greeted him with ‘Assalamu Alaikum,’ but he responded rudely, ignored my greeting, and walked away. After that, I returned to my seat without speaking to him. Later, the director approached me and mentioned that I needed to rehearse with Emraan Hashmi. I firmly told the director that I wouldn’t go to him; instead, he should come to me. Subsequently, the director brought him over, and we did the rehearsal. This was my way of handling the situation because, in my view, respect is mutual—if you give it, you will receive it in return.”
