One of the best and most well-known fashion designers in Pakistan is Maria B. She has also made a name for herself as a well-known social activist and prosperous businesswoman. She has recently made headlines after being singled out by the organizers of the Aurat March Lahore. Details reveal that a special demonstration against the designer was planned in February.

On February 12, Pakistan’s National Women’s Day, the Aurat March was held in Lahore. Protesters from the Aurat March marched to the Faletti’s Hotel from the Press Club. The placards were made in opposition to former Pakistani actor Mishi Khan and fashion designer and social activist Maria B. Take a look at the March photos:

Recently, Maria B reacted to the Aurat March in Lahore. In discussing the topic, she remarked, “We have already declined the Aurat March, Qaum e Lout March, the Failed Women March; what more can I express about it?” I have noticed all your signs opposing me and Mishi Khan. Your upbringing can only be questioned by such actions. The people of Pakistan have dismissed this so-called Aurat March. We understand that Pakistani women aspire to lead their lives in accordance with Islamic principles, seeking independence and success for their families. They aspire to be the support of their family. They don’t aspire to be like you, who are failing fashion designers, failing make-up artists, and Aurat March supporters. I understand you are relying on the funding. “You all speak after receiving funding, so your discussions only revolve around the agenda for which you are financed.” Below is the URL to the video:
The level of public support for Maria B is unprecedented. Social media users claim that because of Maria B’s efforts to uphold Islamic values in Pakistan, she has gained their respect. Many claimed that after Maria B began speaking out against the Aurat March, they began to support her. Go here to read the comments:
