Fans, social media users, and some Arabs are angry with HSY for wearing keffiyeh-made pants. Many believe that the keffiyeh, which Arabs wear on their heads and shoulders, is an integral part of their rich culture. According to many, wearing Keffiyeh pants is completely unacceptable and amounts to disrespecting a rich culture, while wearing a Keffiyeh shirt or scarf is acceptable. “I appreciate your ideas of demonstrating solidarity with Palestinians, but you must have worn it as a scarf or shirt,” a social media user commented.
