In a recent appearance on Good Morning Pakistan, Saba Faisal criticized educated families for lacking traditional values.
Speaking about it, Saba Faisal said that in her family, “Salam, or greeting, is of most importance.” The biggest issue that creates trouble within our family is when one fails to greet the elders. I get upset like my eldest sister when somebody’s child doesn’t greet her. Actually, most of the children in our family used to greet their elders, but whenever one child forgets to do it, my elder sister remembers and brings it up in the next meeting. Although I don’t care for it, I have realized that most well-educated families are quite warm and meet and greet, though they would never greet elders at a get-together and wouldn’t feel bad about it.
