Pakistani artists and content creators collaborate with Zee5 and Zee Zindagi, two platforms that stream Pakistani projects. One of the projects that debuted on Zee Zindagi is the most recent contentious series, Barzakh. Prior to this, we saw Abdullahpur Ka Devdas and Mrs. & Mr. Shamim on Zindagi, and both programs were well-received. However, the latest Barzakh received a lot of criticism due to its LGBT themes.

Everybody in the nation has been talking about Barzakh for the past few days, and most of the remarks have been critical. While many were worried about children consuming such content, many others felt that normalizing queerness in the media was not something they wanted to see.

Team Zindagi and Team Barzakh have decided to remove Barzakh from YouTube Pakistan in response to the negative feedback. They conveyed their appreciation to each and every fan of the program. Zee declared that they respect their audience and do not wish to create enmity. On August 9th, the show will no longer be available on YouTube. The Barzakh season finale airs today.
