A Heated Argument Between Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar & An Audience Member

Prolific Pakistani drama and film writer, poet, and producer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar. He has been receiving recognition lately for his drama series Gentleman. The senior writer is also a fantastic public speaker and motivator. He frequently participates in interviews and talk shows.

He most recently made an appearance on Samaa TV’s Mukalma program, which was hosted by Ayesha Jahanzeb and featured Sahil Adeem as a speaker. The presenter led a discussion with the speakers and viewers. During the discussion, Sahil Adeem was called out by a girl from the audience for using derogatory language towards women.

“If you have used the word ‘Jahil’ for girls, please apologize or show me the Quranic verse that states that the word should be used for those who lack knowledge of certain things,” the girl said. When Sahil Adeem responded by sharing Arabic verses, the girl in the audience became enraged. Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar then got into a heated argument with the girl over Sahil Adeem’s response about speaking Arabic. But the host defused the situation and approached the other participant. This is the video’s link:

People on social media are responding in a variety of ways. The largest criticism of this particular discussion show, according to many, is that practically every participant exhibits some sort of intolerance toward the other participants and believes themselves to be better. Supporters believe that everyone should be well-prepared for the conversation and speak calmly and intelligently. A few people agreed with the girl, but a lot of people said that her style of debating only serves to highlight her ignorance. Supporters added that motivational speakers ought to choose their words carefully. Go through the comments:
